Can I sue the Chiropractor that I worked for for Medical Malpractice as an Independent Contractor

I worked for a chiropractor whom gave me adjustments for my severe sciatica and what he knew was spondylolethesis. He studied my condition and knew how and how not to adjust me. One day he adjusted me the wrong way and extremely rough which caused me so much pain that when I got off the table the muscles spasms in my low back threw me to the floor for over an hour. He knew I was in there and just ignored me. Since then I've had surgery, am permanently disabled, have developed serious issues that I have to see specialist for. I'm have appeal number three in August for disability. I'm in a serious financial state of losing everything. Due to this chiropractor not submitting my records, he lost my xrays, ignores certified letters. There's much more to this. I would like to sue this chiropractor for medical malpractice, refusing to submit my medical records. His associate who specializes in necks also took xrays, did adjustments and had several records on me. Which he also did not submit. It has not been three years.
