Accountant forced my employer to replace me with his own person

I have had apart time bookkeeping job for the past 2 1/2 years. I have never had any complaints about my job perforamce. Even yesterday as my Boss explained to me that his Accountant will not do his Taxes anymore unless he hires this other person to do my job.
That person would start today, My Boss explained that he was very happy with my work and didn't know why this was happening. He even asked me to help this person do the job.
What gives him (accountant) the right to force me out of a job?) What can I do?

Job replacement

I agree with Attorney Stix on this issue. Courts let employers in Wisconsin do pretty much as they please unless they violate the anti-discrimination laws or similar provisions. Unfortunately, the fact that the action was unfair does not make it illegal.

Nothing gives the accountant the right but if your boss goes along with it, it is not illegal unless your termination is based on an unlawful reason, i.e. gender, race, religion, etc. The only thing I can think of doing is suggest your boss get another accountant. I would need a lot more information to give you an opinion on the legality of the termination.
