There is no Texas law that prohibits discrimination based upon how a person dresses. There could be an exception such as dressing a certain way for religious beliefs. From the facts given, it does not appear that there was a right to confidentiality.

Answer to Salary Cap/Bonus

bonus plan

There is no way to answer the question without seeing your documentation. I recommend you see a local employment attorney. Often when companies merge the employees will be under the new plan. However, the old plan may have guaranteed your bonus and you could be due both.

Answer to Defense for breach of contract

lawsuit

You may wait to file your counterclaim against the company until it files against you as long as you are within the proper time limits. I would consult your lawyer again for the different statutes of limitations for the claims you discussed with him or her. If the company tries to sue you but cannot locate you, it is possible that a judge could order an alternate means of service and have you deemed served without you actually receiving notice. My advice is to accept service if you hear that they are trying to serve you. Again, you should consult your attorney about this issue. It is not something I can explain in a few sentences.

Answer to Is there a law regarding favortism in the office?

favortism

There is no law forbidding favortism in the workplace. However, there are laws preventing discrimination against a person based upon their race, gender, age, disability, religious preference or national origin. So, if an employer favored one employee over another based upon one of those factors, the employee may have a claim.

Answer to humiliation

humiliation

From the facts given, I am not sure what kind of case you could pursue against the company. Do you think the company did something wrong to you? Once you divorced, your wife was free to date anyone she wanted to. It does not appear that the company did anything wrong against you. I would advise you to visit a local lawyer and give them all of the facts to see if you have a claim.

It is up to you whether to enter into a non-competition or confidentiality agreement. It is not typical for a wholesaler to sign such an agreement, but if they offer to sign one then let them.
