My wife signed up for FMLA 7 months before the baby was born and was told she would get 12 weeks of FMLA and that since she qualified for short term disablity benefits that she would get 60% of her pay when she went on maternity leave for 12 weeks. She even asked Human Rescources what would happen if her Dr. only gave her 6 weeks of maternity leave, however 9 days after she went on leave, Human Rescources called to tell her that they changed their minds and were only gonna pay her for the six weeks the dr. had written on the fmla papers. can we do anthing to get her the full 12 weeks of short term disablity beneifits?
