severance pay offered and I didn't know it was going to be offered
I resigned my position January 27th fearing there was a restructuring coming the same day my boss set up a conference call with HR, I was sure they were letting me go, I thought it would be best to resign than be terminated. I found out they had approved a severance package later that day, (after I had already given notice). can I go back and ask for the severance package?
