performance reviews and rankings

Our company now does regularly scheduled employee "rankings" and the bottom 5-10% are fired. These rankings are based on our perfromance reviews. My boss recently turned in a negative performance review of me which is not supported by any facts and contains many deliberate lies which I can prove to be false. What recourse do I have? This review could be used to fire me.

The answer is so complex that I could not get it in this box. It would depend on whether you are a public employee, merit employee, or regular employee-at-will. It depends on whether discrimination, retaliation, or a specific law is motivating the boss. It depends upon whether the lies are malicious. You would really need to contact me or another attorney for a dialogue to get an answer.
