if i file for bankruptcy, does that have the potential to negate the current non compete im under

I came into a gym and rose to district manager due to my vast experience in the personal training industry. I was let go for not returning a phone call in 30min time frame. I'm now restricted by 50 miles and 2 years. I have no means to relocate and have multiple opportunities awaiting me. I was told filing would get me out? My credit issues would Def point toward bankruptcy. If I file can I then start back as a trainer even if its before it gets discharged.

Thanks for your time.
