do I have any rights to, at least, find out a reason why I was discharged?

I have no verbal warnings, no written warnings, etc. I came to work on Tuesday, Feb. 5, and about an hour after I arrived was told that my services were no longer required and to leave the premisis. I was not allowed back into my office to gather any of my personal belongings .. I have worked for this company for 4 1/2 years. They sent my belongings to me by a messenger that I met in a parking lot. Now I have found out that they are inspecting my computer. Do I have a recourse on this matter.
