What is the statue of limitations on Employer's Overpayment of Severance/ Pension Plan?

A former employer from over 13 years ago sent me a letter today stating that their oversight had given me
a check(s) that was too large as I left the company.
I assumed at the time this amount was for the years
I had worked for the company and the Severance check
total was right. That Severance money has long since
disappeared during my job search, rent, insurance, ect.
Must I now repay this Large sum of money 13 plus
years later? They expect some payment within 60 days.
