What do I do?

I'm a public employee with Clark County NV. While waiting in our computer area to clock out I was struck in the face by a water filter that was intentionally thrown by a fellow employee. Two other employees witnessed it. I now have a dull headache which I never suffer from headaches. No apologies just a laugh. And I did notify my supervisor. I right to you as I sit at my VA appointmen

You may be entitled to workmen compensation. Ask your employer to file C-3 form and fill it out and let them take care of the rest. Because this is an intentional tort, your employer has no direct responsibility in matter of either assault or battery. I seriously doubt if there is any vicarious responsibility in such intentional tortious conduct.
