What are the HR Record Retention Guidelines for State of Ohio

Looking for Ohio's guidelines in record retention - Federal law states basically that 7 years is the amount to keep records - I'm trying to verify Ohio guidelines due to the fact that we have run out of room in our archive building.

I am not sure what your real request is, minimum record retention requirements vary based upon the law and the nature of the documents. Under Ohio law a governmental entity must notify the Ohio Historical Society of its intent to destroy documents, including personnel records to give the Historical Society the right to have the documents shipped to them first or to authorize destruction. There is a specific statutory provision and I believe Administrative procedures.
