What are my fathers rights?

My father has been a principal in the catholic diocese for >40yrs. He was told today he has to have retirement/resignation letter in by Friday April 1st or he will be issued a notice of termination letter. He has no idea what his retirement package is and is very distraught because he doesn't have enought time to make a knowledgeable decision

This would be easier if he were in a public school system. Your father must have a contract of some sort and there should be policies for the diocesan schools. I do not know who handles pension issues for this group.

See an employment lawyer now and bring all the documents with you. You can select one nearer to you at www.oelasmart.net/directory
