Unemployment benfits for quitting

I have worked for for same company 15 yrs. As a Quality Manager. 2 years ago we were bought by large corp. The turnover has been trememndous. I am doing mutiple jobs, working 12-14 hrs a day. We have had a 30% turnover rate a month. 10% of that is top management. They are not going to replace these position due to the plant not making money. My health and welfare is being terribly effected. Would I be eligible for unemployment if I quit due to drastic changes in Job duties.

Thank you

You can receive unemployment if you quit for "just cause"

Unemployment awards benefits to employees who have been forced to resign through no fault of their own. The most obvious example is a drastic cut in pay.

A drastic increase in duties may qualify you for benefits, but it is less certain. Your better course of action is to find new employment, even if it does not pay as much as the old employment, since unemployment compensation benefits are pretty meager.

Probably Not

No. Almost certainly not.
Your best bet is to find
alternative work in a company
that is doing well.

Good luck.
