Payroll Dept adjusting PTO after it's approved and taken
I have an employee that was approved for 4 hours PTO and they worked 5 hours on the job (9 total hours). Our payroll department adjusted the PTO to 3 hours after the fact so that they would not have to pay 1 hour overtime for which overtime was approved. Is this legal in the state of Alabama?
