Non-compete taking my life
I was employed by a company on H1B, i paid the processing fees and i was not paid for six months, beacuse i dont have job and when finally i got a job, they made me sign a non-compete and for four months they paid less and finally i moved over to company and working at the same place.
Now my previous company has put a case on me beacuse of the non-compete
what are my options

Non-compete agreements are rarely enforceable because they are so often overbroad under Illinois law. But it is not uncommon for companies to try. You really need to speak to an attorney, whether it is our firm or one of the other fine employment lawyers here at MEL.
