Non-Compete Agreement Pls Advise

Hi
Here is my situation.
I am on working for Company A and working as a consultant at CLIENT through a vendor Company for last 6 months.
So it’s like
Company A[My Company]-->Company B-->CLIENT
Unfortunately Company B did not pay anything to my company for last 6 months not even a single penny. I know it’s stupid of my company to wait so long but Vendor Company convinced my company saying lot of lies [my company came to know recently].
Now client is aware of this situation and terminated Company B’s contract with them and ready to do a contract with my company.
There is a Non-Compete agreement between my company and Company B which says my company cannot contract with CLIENT for 1 year.
Can my company contract directly with the CLIENT?
CLIENT Already terminated Company B's Contract and they do not have any relation.
Although Company B has a Non-Compete agreement with my company can my company go direct with CLIENT based on breach of the contract by not paying my company??

Please advise me ASAP?

Thank You.
