NJ Non-Compete clause

NJ Non-Compete: (all business names and employee names are fake, just used as an example)

Snappers has a 1-year non-compete with Chris, and Chris can't own, invest, or work for any business in a 25 mile radius of Snappers. Richard wants to sell their company, AirMarkers, to Chris, but AirMarkers is 10 miles away.

Chris, got Snappers to revise their non-compete to state they could work at AirMarkers, but not own, or invest in Airmarkers, or any other business.

Richard, owner of AirMarkers wants their name off the business ASAP.

Can Chris's Mom/Family own AirMarkers and Chris work there until 1-year non-compete is over?? Is this breaching any clause?
