My husband had unvested shares (restricted stock units) which the company clawed back upon his death. Can I sue to get those shares as his beneficiary?

My husband had unvested shares (restricted stock units) which his company clawed back upon his death. Can I sue to get those shares as his beneficiary? We lived in Connecticut, he worked in New York.
