Is my information being mishandled? And can i do anything for slander?

My employer asked me to go to school for an accounting position. I have been in school for 3 years now and i'm almost done. Last semester i found out that my HR person was in one of my classes. She had gone to my employer and told them she was jealous that i might take her job, and now she is using my personal schooling information that i give her for HR reasons to take the same classes as i am! Would this be considered using my personal information for her own personal gain? Recently, she has gone to an owner and said that i was hostile to her. Which is 100% untrue. We work in an office with 9 people and it's engineering office, the office is a small square basically, if i was being hostile towards here, there would be no way that someone in the ofiice wouldn't hear it or see it. I then looked up what the legal definition of hostile was. It would have to be something involving one of her protected classes, like race, religion, race, etc. After she told them this, they sat me down, and I have certainly been treated differently by the owners. I am almost embarrassed to come to work. There are employees in the office that can actually vouch that she has been doing horrible things to me. Here i come to find out it's been going on for years because she is afraid i'm going to take her job! An owner told me that. I feel like i just have been gotten by my employer, and that this woman just harasses me because of my education. Is there anything i can do at all. Action i can take against her or the company. At least for slander? I'm extremely upset and have missed work because of this, i have also thought about quitting she makes my work life so miserable. After telling the owners that she has been aggressive with me, and that if anything, she is doing these things to me. Nothing was done to her. I was asked to be extra nice to her. I have no one else to go to because she IS the HR person. I actually think she has even logged onto my personal school account because she has my private information. I live in ohio! Please help!
