Is my employer required to back pay me for time lost?

I work as a direct support provider in the field of developmental disabilities in ohio. I was put on unpaid leave because a frivolous complaint was made against me and I was investigated for a major unusual incident. The complaint was investigated and was found to be unsubstantiated, I was cleared and returned to work. Now my employer is refusing to pay me for the time lost during the course of the investigation! My question is, Is my employer required to back pay me for the time lost?
