Is a corporation obligated to it's contracts after the owners death?

In 1990, I met with the owner of a chemical products manufacturing company, and stated my desire to represent the company.

I offered to market their product line on a commission only basis.

It was agreed that I would do so for 10% commission.

The products could needed by the customer on repeat basis, so it was also agreed that each subsequent order would earn me the commissions.

Over the last twenty years, my sales have added up to a few million dollars, and commissions have always been paid to me monthly.

The owner of the company passed away recently, leaving the business to his family.

Commissions have not been paid to me in 3 months following the change.

Efforts to meet with management have been unsuccessful.

I feel I need to proceed with a legal effort to recover the commissions.
