In Missouri, is it illegal to yell or chew out an employee in front of other employees, and afterwards realizes the employer was blaming the wrong person?

I have been in the awning business all my working life. I have specifically cut cloth awnings, marked out , sewed, and installed them. My current"BOSS" has sold the awning jobs. He knows nothing about making them, but is a good bullshitter(salesman). Twice he has yelled at me about fabrication, and both times he was proven wrong. Is this illegal in Missouri?
