I'm have seniority for a job I applied and interview for. But the company decided to hire someone that was not employed with the company.
I have been with my employer since Jan 2 2013 as a Machinist B. I recently applied for a Machinist A job in August 2019 online. I was interviewed for the opportunity in November. The company decided to hire a unemployed worker over me. I went to union for help. But they told me my seniority rights can't be used in this situation because I didn't apply for the job through the bidding process.
