If im moved to a higher postion that is a higher pay level can they not pay me?

I was moved to customer service and was told that I will get a pay increase from being a cashier. I was told that i will get it after minimum wage increase in jan 1st. I was told after minimum wage increase to hang in there their trying to talk to cooperate i kept asking about my was increase and was givning the run arounds a situtaion occured with me a week later i asked about my increase again and then i was terminated because i didnt follow store policy. Myquestion is why i didnt get fired then and wait a week later when i kept asking about my wage increase tht i was promised and now they find a reason to not to pay me because of a situation. Is this legally fair?

Based upon this short description you really do need to talk with an employment lawyer about what happened, you do not identify an illegal basis for the treatment in your description, only broken promises. This does not mean you do not have a claim, but I would discuss this with an employment lawyer promptly.

You can select one here at www.oelasmart.net/directory.
