I was hired as a contract cabin attendant for a charter company, but they refuse to use me and are even looking to bring someone else in from over sea's do I have any recourse?

My husband is a pilot for this company. They were in need of Cabin Attendants and I have previous airline experience. I was interviewed and hired. I filled out all the company paper work and tax forms. I even have an email from the head of HR saying they will attempt to pair me with my husband on his rotations, but it's been months and they refuse to call me. I have no idea why and I just heard that they are in "dire" need of an attendant for an upcoming trip and they are looking into flying a girl in from Bahrain (the Middle East!). My husband sent them an email saying I'm available but has gotten no reply. My gut tells me there is nothing I can do. But I feel a reasonable explanation isn't too much to ask. We are in a odd spot here with my husband not wanting to jeopardize his position with the company at the moment.
