I was forced out by a settlement of a work comp case. my wife's business is in my name, I get no money from it. Can I file a claim?

I was forced to quit because of a settlement of a work comp case with my employer. In the settlement it says I can file for unemployment because of the nature of my termination. The problem is that my wife's business is in my name because of a possible issues when she dissolved a partnership. She started her own business with the same client so we put it in my name to avoid any legal problems. I do not receive any money from this business and she is paid as a 1099 IC as are all the people who work for her. Would I be able to file a claim? Should I go to an office and talk to them about it? Thanks!
