I signed a non-compete in March 2008 and want to know if it is still valid

I signed the agreement after switching companies in March 2008. I was told that all sales managers were signing and that it was a condition of employment. I found out afterward that none of the existing sales managers at the company had signed one. Within eight months my companesation package was reduced and not what I had agreed too. Is this agreement still in effect?

Yes. Consideration for a non-compete is usually continued employment. The change in compensation is not relevent. The fact that they lied to you may make it unenforceable, but I doubt it, since the mis-statement is not relevent to the agreement.
