I may be stretching. But in lieu of me being told I would qualify for unemployment immediately because the severance was dispersed in a 'lump sum.' I received my rejection for the period until 'lump sum' is exhausted. This is an assessment from ODJFS. Yes

Seems a bit unfair because the lump sum is half of my regular pay, yet they want me to treat the period as regular when it virtually reflects half the time. Not only was my group laid off, but there are positions reposted, same function/different titles at higher pay grades.
