I have called in sick. I have a doctor's note. Can my employer count me as AWOL and terminate me?
I have worked for the state since October and my employer has told me they have counted me as AWOL and is in the decision factor for termination even though I have a doctor's note for the flu. The doctor's note has me to return next week.
