I have a retention bonus to be paid out in October. My company was purchased and my job will be eliminated by June 1. The agreement states,
I have a retention bonus to be paid out in October. My company was purchased and my job will be eliminated by June 1. The agreement states, "If the Company terminates your employment without “Cause” prior to the Retention Date, you will still be entitled to receive the Retention Bonus." Does my job being eliminated (the entire company basically) constitute without cause?
