The policy in question is for a private security company. I met their policy guideline with regard to facial hair by providing them with a note from my doctor confirming my medical condition. Now they've change their policy and I'll being forced to get a note from my doctor every three weeks to constantly state an previously established fact or risk losing my job if I don't comply. Initially I might be removed from a site, placed on unpaid leave or get written up. I have been dealing with this condition for longer than this company has been in existence. Also, I keep my beard neatly groomed and I carry a brush with me to work so that I can maintain a neat appearance during my shift. What I need to know is if I have any legal standing to fight this absurd policy request.
