I had my vacation approved and then I was told I wasn't allowed to take it. I got paid like I did take it, so now when I do take a vacation I won't get paid for that week. Is this legal? AZ

My vacation was approved. They decided I was needed so they told me I couldn't take it right now. My last paycheck had my vacation pay on it so now when I do take one, I don't get paid for it because I already did. I didn't approve of this nor was I even told about it. They just did it. Is this even legal?
