I am a former employee of a company and i reached out to upper managament to let him know how his company was being ran. am i protected by any law? and it was by no means retaliation

The operations manager was doing things that she shouldnt have been doing and no one spoke out because of fear of losing their job. well i was laid off due to financial reasons as a result of covid. and i let the upper managament know what was going on
