Employer is offering a severance package. However, company was just sold. Release and Waiver state company as the name before the sell. Will I have issues receiving payment now that company name who purchased company is not on the agreement?

Terminated without cause after 4 years. Reason was given as fit. Abusive environment and I have arguments to support claims. Working on negotiating package value but concerned about the language of "COMPANY" in contract.
To further complicate things, the company was divested to form its own entity before the sell took place. So when they state company name as it was 4 years ago, what really is the company name I should be in agreement with?
