Elected Cobra but Employer Changed Coverage, now I don't have any and no one will assist.
I was terminated from my employer on 9/25/17. I immediately elected Cobra coverage to being on 10/1/17. I had minor surgery on 10/5 when I found out my coverage was not effective. it appears my employer switched health coverage on 10/1 so their previous carrier, whom I elected coverage with is not covering me. Their new carrier is denying me coverage and my old employer is not doing anything about it. I need continued medical care and I can't get anywhere with any of the three companies, previous carrier, current carrier, or my previous employer.
