Can my husband be fired for taking me to my doctor appointments?
I am 36 weeks pregnant and so far my husband has taken four seperate days off from work to take me to my appointments as I have no one else to take me and I can't drive. I have four more appointments to go to and then of course the time we would be in the hospital for the birth of our son. My husband always gives a week or more notice to his boss about the day he will need and his boss was fine until recently. Now he says my husband could lose his job and will definitely not recieve his Christmas bonus because of the days missed. Can he be fired for this? If so, will he be eligible for unemployment compensation? Thank you.
