Can my employer change my start date so I don't earn the amount of vacation I would've earned if they they kept my original start date?

I original worked full-time as a salaried employee, then went part-time for some a few years, then they offered me back a full-time salaried position. Note that I have been in the same position the entire time. When I went back full-time, they changed my start date and now I won't be earning the four weeks that employees get when they've worked here for 15 years.
