Can i refuse to sign an employee handbook?

When I first started with my company I was hired under one name. After a few months I was switched over to a new company to avoid them paying into our medical insurance. They are now trying to get me to sign an employee handbook with the OLD co mpany name and telling me “just sign this for now and we’ll fix it later” I signed one when I was first hired. I do not want to sign another one especially with the wrong company.
