Can an employer take back benefits that they offered to you in the offer letter?

When I was hired I signed an offer letter from my employer specifically stating that I would be working part time and that i am eligible for medical/dental/vision benefits, 401k, vaction time accruals(PTO),sick time etc.. I’ve been at the job now for about two months and I’m wanting to use my PTO, now my employer is saying that I’m not eligible for PTO because I am an part time employee and that I would have to be a full time employee (40hrs/wk) in order to get PTO accruals insurance benefits etc..

I took this job offer under these offers & benefits? Can an employer take back the benefits and offers that they made to me after I signed and accept the job offer?
