Can an employer ask for a doctor's note from when I was in the hospital recently, when I was not scheduled to work and therefore, did not miss any days of work?
My employer is telling me that I need to give them a doctor's note stating that I was in the hospital for a few days last week, but I was not scheduled to work and therefore, did not miss any days of work. How can this be legal?
