Can a lawyer assist in this situation of possible hostile environment or discrimination at work?

I was on vacation from September 19, 2017 until October 3, 2017. When I returned, I was told by my manager that I will be working in a different position immediately. I asked why this was not discussed with me prior to the decision. The manager stated that he thought he would not interrupt my vacation and besides, he needed the strongest and most dependable employee for the position. Although I was not happy with the way the process occurred, I accepted the duties.
Last Friday, October 20, 2017, I was assisting a patient with check out. As I viewed the screen to conduct the checkout process, the computer displayed a text conversation between the manager and a co-worker that read as follows:
Manager: “Did you tell "HER" about her new position in referrals? LOL.”
Coworker response: “No. Isn’t that your job? LOL.”
I am not sure if the coworker placed this so that I would see it, but I was devastated and because I was too busy with assisting patients, I did briefly address this with the new supervisor and I thought I would wait until Monday morning to address the situation with Human Resources and the managers immediately director.
I also believe that policy and procedures for code of conduct with the use of company computers for this issue were in violated and misused.
Because of the frequency of the individual incidents that I have experienced, I believe this has caused actions that have now created the hostile working environment and has interfered with my ability to appropriately perform my duties.
