Can a employer change your pay rate to minimum-wage because you didn't give them a full 10 day notice it was 8 days so now they are saying my last pay check will be paid to me in minimum wage a per hour can they do that??????

I didn't give my employer a 10 day notice of me changing jobs it was more like eight days and they told me that my last check I will be getting will be payed in minimum wage per hour because of that is that against the law to do that? And I was willing to finish out my last few days working with the company but I feel like they are trying to get over on me.
