Can I terminated for symtoms of a medical disease?

I was terminated for my apparent lack of communication skills. 6 weeks ago or so, I contacted the Employee Assistance Program. They arranged for me to start seeing a mental health professional. The week after the assistance stopped, I was discharged. I have been diagnosed with Dysthymic Disorder. I have been placed on medication. One of the symptoms of the disorder is diminshed social functions.
