Breach of contract question with paid absences...
I am a nurse practitioner. Per my contract with my previous employer, it states the “nurse practitioner is entitled to seven paid absences per year”. It does not specify if those are vacation, sick days, when they can be used etc. Does my employer (per Ohio law) have to pay me those days? If I had 2 unscheduled absences while employed (daughter was hospitalized), does he have to pay me for those days per the contract clause above? I’m getting a lot of push back from him and was not paid for my 2 absences.
