Am I held to non-disclosure with former employer if I didn't sign any such agreements?

I worked for a small private company(less than 15 employees). The employer had some shady business practices that I was awere of. There are no trade secrets worth talking about. Am I bound to not talk about anything from my employment with this former employer if I never signed any non-disclosure agreements?
