The severance package states that if I’m hired by a company that is selling or marketing the products my previous employer carried I forfeit my severance.
If this new company offers to contract my services as a 1099 indpendent contractor, am I breaching my severance agreement because technically they are still hiring me or I’m not breaching the severance agreement because I’m a Independant Contractor and not a W2 Employee?
