501c3 and FLSA 2020

I work for a 501c3 church, I am a salary employee, and make a set fee regardless of hours worked. I do not receive overtime since I am salary, and not hourly. I have a master’s degree and do graphic design and communications for the church. It was brought to my attention that the FLSA changed in 2020, and that my annual salary falls below guidelines outlined in FLSA changes. I would like to approach my employer before contacting the Department of Labor. My questions are; am I correct in my understanding that I fall in the expanded categories outlined by the changes in the FLSA for 2020, can I request payment for all the months I’ve worked in 2020?
