Answer to Time off denial legal

May have rights to challenge

If you are in the classified service, you may be accruing personal time, sick time or vacation time. If that is the case, you may have some rights to challenge this denial. You may also have other rights if you are covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The other fact I have to know is the purpose for the request. If it is for medical reasons or other reasons related to family and medical leave, it may violate the law to deny you the time off. Your question is too general to answer definitvely.
